Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Popular California Coast
A chopper soaring near a well-attended southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Videos shared on social media show the chopper beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then falling near the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a staircase near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Local firefighters said five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
