Disturbing Recording Reveals Point Law Enforcement Are Stabbed in Ambush
A ranking policeman who rushed to the aid of a partner that got attacked by a blade-wielder was granted the Monarch's Honor for Bravery.
Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he pressed a weapon to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.
Brown began the violence as the policemen and their partner, Police Constable Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist subsequent to a vehicle incident in the area in summer 2023.
Brown attacked with blade both Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster before PC Wolstencroft stopped him with a stun gun.
"Officer stabbed," the constable could be heard saying over his communication device.
Bodyworn and dashcam recording released by the agency revealed Brown, who was dressed in black with a hood covering head, run up to Sgt Foster from behind with a blade pointed forward.
He ran into the policeman who lost balance and went down to the ground, after which Sgt Ansell jumped in and tried to wrestle him to the floor although being continually attacked with the knife.
Police Constable Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and waited for a clear shot, concluding the confrontation to an finish.
Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "I need something on my throat now, I got knifed in the throat."
Sergeant Ansell sustained multiple deep cuts to his neck and more wounds to his limbs and body, while Sgt Foster received slash wounds.
Authorities stated Sergeant Foster utilized his palms to stem his partner's bleeding prior to medical personnel reached the scene.
The new award follows after the law enforcement team won organizational Courage Honors in late 2023 and the police federation award from the regional Police Federation in April 2024.
They were also awarded a Area Bravery Award in summer 2024.
"The actions of all three officers ultimately rescued one another and resulted in no bystanders endured any injuries."
Brown received a sentence to an secure medical confinement in early 2024, according to officials.
